If you have any feedback on how I can make my new website better please do contact me. I would like to hear from you.

I was born and educated in Zimbabwe. After school I moved away from Zimbabwe and lived and worked in Kenya, Nigeria and the UK.

In 1965, whilst living in Nigeria I was caught up in the Nigerian/Biafran war, and as I was expecting my first child I had to leave the country in haste as a refugee.

After spending some time in the Uk and whilst expecting my second child, the family decided to move to South Africa permanently.

My interest in art was sparked by winning a competition I entered at school when I was about 10 years old.   The first prize was 15 cents and I remember buying sweets for all my friends at the school tuck shop the next day!

After this windfall I always yearned to paint, but due to family commitments and other distractions along the way, the years passed and I was still no nearer to becoming the artist I always wanted
 to be.

In 1992, with the children grown up and out of the house, I finally had the chance to pursue my dream.

When questioned by friends as to which medium I would study first I decided on watercolours as I was informed that this was the most difficult medium to master and I was ready for a challenge.   I studied water colours under the tuition of Colin Nockels and Richard Rennie and then eventually went on to paint in oils having been to Robert Mallison and Dale Elliott for instruction on this medium.   I also draw and paint in Pastels and Acrylics.

In 2002 my husband Rob was given early retirement, and as we already had a property in Scottburgh, what better time to pull up roots and head for the coast.

It was at this point that my artistic career took a turn and I was introduced to Robert Mallison, an established artist in Natal, who specialized in oils.

I especially love to paint the sea, with all its different moods and colours and at different times of the day.   I also do portraits in pastels and work to the highest standards on every project I tackle.   My portfolio now includes most subjects including landscapes, flowers and wildlife.

Over the years I have sold numerous works to buyers from all over the world, including Hungary, England, USA and South Africa.

I am an active member of USCAA (Upper South Coast Art Association) in Amanzimtoti and currently serving on the committee as secretary.

Other memberships include Highway Art in Durban North.

I have participated in charitable events including the Knysna Oyster Arts festival and "Everyone Counts". My achievements include
winning the "Best on Show" at the National Orchid Convention held at the University of Natal.  It has been my pleasure and privilege to exhibit and sell my paintings at the Watercolour Society in Johannesburg and many exhibitions organised by USCAA in Natal as well as a solo exhibition at the Hillcrest Private Hospital in Natal.

I hope that my passion and love of art will entice you to join me on a "RIGHT BRAIN JOURNEY" into a world of imagination and beauty you could never have dreamed of.

ENJOY!
